So what is this blog? In short, this is my voice to the world. I'm a first time mom with a leaning towards granola, and a penchant for the tech. I'm not you average mom - a recent MBA grad who works as an office manager in healthcare, I also practice cosleeping, extended breastfeeding, baby-lead weaning, clothdiapering, and mama cloth. I'm also a strong proponent of the natural child-birth movement, and the homebirth movement.
This blog will center around my daughter, Lily, who as of this introduction is a week shy of 6 months, and my adventures in parenting her & reconciling the high-tech world with my low tech parenting ideals. In today's world, many have made parenting an extension of their high-tech lifestyles - we have high tech baby food, diapers, toys, and births. But some of us have a leaning - even a craving - for a more natural, down to earth way to raise our kids. It may not be for everyone, but in this blog, I'll discuss the parenting choices I've made, how my family and I came to those choices, and how they work for us. It IS possible to live more naturally in this world - and sometimes, it's even a lot of fun!
